The last two legs of the league have been held at Nyayo Stadium Indoor and Outdoor courts.
In a letter shared to all league teams, the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) has scheduled a league leg for 7 April in Kiminini, a move that a majority of the teams are opposed to.
The invite dated 14 March indicates that the Trans Nzoia County planned leg will serve as a curtain-raiser to a two-day Paul Bitok Foundation-sponsored event.
However, teams, especially those preparing for the CAVB Club Championships set for May in Tunisia are opposed to the move with many terming it a step backwards seeing as teams had already moved to playing indoors.
"League teams have now gotten used to playing the league indoors. There is massive improvement in men volleyball.
It then is a wonder why all of a sudden the federation has decided to take the league outdoors again," Prisons Kenya head coach David Lung'aho possed.
The tactician was quick to clarify that teams are not opposed to taking the sport to the grassroots and was in support of the tournament but not the league matches set to Friday 7 April.
"We need to protect our league to be played indoors. Our clubs will be travelling out to represent the country in club championships and they are already in indoor training.
By having them play outdoors in the next leg, aren't we doing great damage to the teams preparations and the gains they have made?," Lugh'aho further questioned.
His sentiments were echoed by Trailblazers proprietor Richard Sylvain whose team has been streaming the league live on their YouTube channel.

"Let tournaments be tournaments. Mosoriot (the first leg of the men's season) reminded us how difficult it is to host tournaments alongside league matches.
Furhermore, the upcoming league leg is set to have teams playing four league matches. How will teams play four league matches and also feature in the tournaments," he posed.
Sylvain has called on the federation to reconsider their stance and also asked on the teams to demand that the league stays away from the idea of playing more than one league match per day.
